Who we are and how to contact us

Pure Food Tech is part of Daijyo V Limited (company number 12547011), which is responsible for the personal information described here. This policy covers our website, business enquiries, LinkedIn lead forms and Under Pressure event administration.

For privacy questions, requests or complaints, contact us at info@daijyov.com. Please put “Privacy” in the subject.

Information we use

We use the details you submit: your name, email address, job title, company, sector, optional telephone number, event preferences and correspondence. Product enquiries can include product type, processing experience, estimated volumes, timescales and the question you want to explore. Please do not submit confidential formulations or unnecessary sensitive personal information.

LinkedIn may prefill a lead form from your profile. Check the details before submitting. We receive the submitted information and relevant campaign information. LinkedIn handles its own platform data under its privacy policy.

We also use information from direct correspondence, introductions and public professional sources when relevant to a business enquiry. If we contact you using information obtained elsewhere, we will identify the source when contacting you.

How and why we use it

We use your information to answer enquiries, discuss product questions, manage expressions of interest, arrange attendance and provide practical event information and relevant follow-up. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to requests, organising the event and maintaining relevant business relationships, balanced against your interests and rights. Where processing is necessary for a contract with you, or steps you request before entering one, we rely on that contractual basis. We retain information required by law on the basis of legal obligation.

Providing enquiry details is voluntary, but we need sufficient contact information to respond. Submitting a genuine Summit registration secures your place and triggers a confirmation email, copied privately to Andrew for event administration. It does not subscribe you to a newsletter or give blanket permission for partner marketing.

Your marketing and sharing choices

You can object to direct marketing at any time. Reply asking us to stop, use an unsubscribe option where provided or contact us above. We will stop using your information for direct marketing and may keep a minimal suppression record to respect your choice.

We obtain consent for optional promotional messages where required. For relevant business communications where consent is not required, we may rely on legitimate interests. We do not treat a business email address as automatically exempt from consent requirements.

Partner sharing is separate from registration. Before sharing personal details for a partner’s own use, we will identify the recipients, information and purpose and obtain the appropriate permission. The registration form’s optional partner-interest choice allows us to discuss an introduction with you; it does not itself authorise a transfer to an unspecified partner.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it by contacting us. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Event arrangements and images

The registration form asks about dietary and accessibility requirements. You can select None or Prefer to discuss privately. If you provide details, we request your explicit agreement to use them for event arrangements and share only what is necessary with our event organiser, the Eden Project or the supplier providing that support. These details may reveal health or religious information; please provide only what is needed, without a diagnosis or explanation. Your confirmation repeats the details you supplied and is copied privately to Andrew. Contact Andrew to correct or withdraw these details.

Photography or recording may take place at Under Pressure. We will explain the arrangements and intended use before the event and provide a way to raise concerns or decline identifiable promotional use. Submitting a registration or reading this policy is not consent to promotional filming. An optional expression of interest in photography is not a substitute for specific information and choices at the event.

Services and recipients

Authorised people administering Pure Food Tech enquiries and events can access relevant information. We use Netlify for website hosting and form processing, Google services for email and business records, and LinkedIn for lead forms and advertising. Administrative tools, including AI-assisted drafting and review tools, may be used to help organise correspondence; these do not determine event admission automatically. Other recipients may include event suppliers, professional advisers or authorities where needed for the stated purpose or a legal obligation.

These services can involve processing outside the UK, including in the United States and other countries where providers operate. Providers publish information about international processing and applicable safeguards, including adequacy frameworks and contractual protections: Netlify, Google and LinkedIn. Contact us for information about the providers and transfer safeguards relevant to your enquiry.

Website technology

Netlify receives technical connection information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as IP address, requested pages and browser information. The website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives the connection information needed to deliver them. If you accept advertising cookies, we load the LinkedIn Insight Tag to measure advertising visits and successful registration submissions. LinkedIn can receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, page URL, time of visit and cookie identifiers, and may connect activity to your LinkedIn account. We do not send registration form contents, names, email addresses or telephone numbers to LinkedIn through this tag. We rely on your consent for this optional advertising measurement. Rejecting it does not prevent registration. We store your accept or reject choice in this browser for 180 days. Use Cookie settings in the footer to change your choice or withdraw consent; withdrawal stops future tag loading but does not undo information already sent. LinkedIn cookies may persist under LinkedIn’s own retention rules and can be managed through your browser. See LinkedIn’s cookie policy for cookie names, durations and controls. A short-lived session record, containing only a submission timestamp, prevents a thank-you page reload being counted again; it is removed when used and expires with the browser session. Links to external websites, including LinkedIn, are subject to those services’ own privacy and cookie arrangements.

Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to handle the enquiry, deliver the event and complete relevant follow-up. We consider whether the discussion remains active, whether you have asked us to stop, and whether legal obligations or a dispute require particular records. Unneeded information should be deleted or anonymised; sensitive event requirements should be removed once the arrangements and any related issue are complete. Minimal opt-out and consent records may be retained to respect and demonstrate your choices. Ask us about the retention applicable to your particular record.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent at any time where that is the basis used. Contact us above; we may request proportionate information to verify your identity. These rights are subject to applicable legal conditions.

You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, telephone 0303 123 1113. You do not need to contact us first, although we welcome the opportunity to resolve concerns.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and show the revision date above. We will communicate significant changes affecting existing information where appropriate.
