A single HPP machine can cost seven figures. Most producers who would benefit from HPP will never buy one outright, and should not have to. A shared-access facility lets a producer pay for the capacity they use, trial a product before committing to scale, and avoid that equipment risk entirely.
Pure Food Tech is part of Daijyo V Ltd. It is not yet a funded project, and no site or facility has been committed to. What exists today is Andrew Williams's 25 years in the food and hospitality industry, his industry relationships, and the work of building a founding anchor customer base before any capacity is ordered.

Real product goes through formulation, packaging and shelf life testing. Feasibility work turns that into a facility case backed by named, willing demand.
Confirmed demand sets the size of a shared facility in the South West, targeted for 2027. No location is fixed yet.

HPP is still an active area of food science research: pathogen validation, shelf-life work, texture and nutrient studies, new product development. A shared-access facility can serve that need the same way it serves a producer — buy processing time for a trial, without owning a machine.
Pure Food Tech already has one working academic relationship: Dr Mark Tupper at the University of Cumbria advises on HPP validation. The ambition is to build proper research access into the facility itself, open to any UK university or research institute with a reason to use it — particularly those in the South West.
